Introduction

Website hosting protection. What do we need protection from? Shouldn’t a website represent the thoughts and ideas of the creator and exist securely on the internet? Doesn’t the hosting software and provider automatically have enough resources and restrictions to support my website’s security needs? In an ideal world, this should be the case. Hosting services may not be enough to keep your website safe in the real world of nefarious bots, malware, and cross-site scripting.

A professional website developer should take all reasonable responsibility to protect website security. This document will list the minimal viable security measures necessary for site security.

A Chiropodist and a Podiatrist are medical professionals dedicated to studying, diagnosing, and treating disorders of the feet, ankle, and lower legs. A chiropodist is an older term, not as often used in Australia.

Suppose you are searching on Google for a professional that can help you with foot pain or discomfort. In that case, I recommend that you try to find a local podiatrist by entering the the term podiatrist and then the suburb or location.

E.g. podiatrist Marrickville or podiatrist Leichhardt, if you need to expand the possibilities use something like podiatrist inner west.

What is Isopropyl Alcohol?

Visit Labtech.com.au

Isopropyl Alcohol or IPA is one of the most common solvents in the world. It is often known as rubbing alcohol or IPA. Isopropyl alcohol is most commonly sold in two purity grades – 70 percent and 100 percent.

HINT: ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL IS ALSO KNOWN AS RUBBING ALCOHOL, USUALLY IN ITS 70 PERCENT DILUTION.

What can Isopropyl Alcohol be used for?

HOUSEHOLD USES OF IPA:

  • Disinfecting surfaces
  • Making hand sanitiser
  • Cleaning windows and screens
  • PROFESSIONAL USES OF IPA:
  • Sanitises beauty salon tools
  • Cleans medical equipment
  • Cleans 3D printing equipment

Does isopropyl alcohol kill bacteria and germs?
Isopropyl Alcohol (particularly 60 to 90 percent) is antimicrobial against viruses, fungi and bacteria. It kills microorganisms such as bacteria, germs and fungi or halts their growth, specifically the spread of germs. Isopropyl Alcohol kilss 99.99% of germs in under 30 seconds making it an in-demand and popular sterilisation solution.

What’s the difference between 100% and 70% isopropyl alcohol?
The percentage of IPA correlates to the ration of purified water it is diluted with. Pure 100% IPA is not diluted with any water; common formulas include a ratio of 10 – 40% purified water.

Does 70% rubbing alcohol kill germs?
Yes. Purified water plays an important role in the effectiveness of Isopropyl Alcohol (IPA) as it delays the evaporation rate and therefore increasing the time it remains effective on a surface. 70 percent IPA solutions are most effective in fully penetrating the cell wall, killing the organism. This slightly diluted formula helps to destroy the harmful properties of common pathogens and microorganisms.

What is 70% isopropyl alcohol used for?
70% IPA is the most commonly used form of this solvent. It is used to sanitise areas where germs may be present including household surfaces, beauty salons and hospitals.

Can 70% Isopropyl Alcohol be used as a Disinfectant?
Yes, it is the 70% diluted solution that can act as a disinfectant because the water helps keep the solution on the surface for longer allowing it to penetrate the cell wall of the organism.

What is 99%-100% isopropyl alcohol used for?
The highly concentrated version of IPA is much less commonly used than 70% IPA. Most often, 99% IPA is used in industrial application or in scientific research, on products that are sensitive to water.

How do you dilute isopropyl alcohol to 70 percent?
Although pure isopropyl alcohol can be diluted, we suggest purchasing a premixed 70% IPA solution. Not only is 70% IPA less expensive, it is also professionally pre-diluted, therefore removing any potential margin of error for mixing.

BUY ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL NOW

Ethanol – Food vs Fuel by Labtech

Labtech.com.au

What is ethanol?
Ethanol is a clear colourless liquid that can be made from many different sources including wheat, molasses a by-product of sugarcane production or any starch. It is also known as alcohol The boiling point of ethanol is 78 °C and the flashpoint is 11 °C. there are many ethanol products on the market in Australia are not manufactured for drinking or human consumption. These include for the extract oils, disinfectant, sterilise medical equipment, as a window cleaner, automotive fuel and there are many more uses including indoor or outdoor ethanol heating.

Drinking grade ethanol or alcohol differs from commercial or industrial grades with no addition of denaturants, Bitrex, hydrocarbon or methanol. Ethanol mixes well with water, and you will find that ethyl alcohol is a common ingredient in cosmetics, cleaners and fuels. When using ethanol on the skin as rubbing alcohol it is recommended to dilute it down to about 70%. You can also add in a fragrance to mix with ethanol to make as a disinfectant to use around the home.

Uses for ethanol
Ethanol is used in Printing Ink, Gel and Liquid Hand sanitizers, Scientific research, cleaning window, used in alcoholic beverages, Beauty, Heating, Petrol blends, rocket engines,

Labtech bio fuels

Ethanol – Food vs Fuel
It is important to realise that not all ethanol is equal, especially when it comes to sustainability. There has been much debate around the use of biofuels taking resources away from food production. This debate mainly refers to the overseas production of ethanol and specifically the use of corn and grains to produce ethanol.
The sugar/molasses-based ethanol situation is different, sugar is a sweetener, not a food staple. Unlike corn and grain, sugar contains no protein, fat or vitamins.

Other benefits of sugar/molasses based ethanol include:

  • The molasses used to produce Ethanol is a by-product of sugar production and is not a
    “food”
  • Ethanol produced from Sugar has 4 times the C02 reduction of ethanol produced from
    grain.
  • 60% of Australian sugarcane is now grown without irrigation.

Water management practices have been implemented by sugarcane farmers through a Rural Water Use Efficiency Project (RWUE). The RWUE project has lead to 91% changing the layout of their farm to improve the efficiency of irrigation and/or harvesting operations.

Methanol & Hydrocarbon Free Bioethanol
Why should I be concerned if the bioethanol I have contains methanol or hydrocarbons?
Ethanol is exactly the same chemical structure no matter what the feedstock it is products from. However, the added denaturants put into ethanol to stop people from drinking the product varies dramatically. These denaturants are not all equal, and using bioethanol indoors that contains methanol or petrochemical hydrocarbon is unhealthy and dangerous.

Some companies promote Methylated Spirit or Industrial Methylated Spirit. In Australia, Methylated Spirit is a technical or industrial grade of ethanol which is denatured with hazardous chemicals for industrial applications and not for use indoors. The denaturants used in methylated spirit vary and can commonly contain toxic methanol, Methyl Isobutyl Ketone, Denatonium Benzoate (Bitrex) and in some cases hydrocarbons.

Labtech Bioethanol Green Products

Bioethanol the Green product
The biological process of producing bioethanol from either by-products or renewable feedstock which makes bioethanol a very green and environmentally friendly alternative to the petroleum oil, coal and gas-based products on the Australian and world market.
Bioethanol can be made from renewable biological by-products and from sugar production or wheat. In the case of ethanol produced from molasses, it is fermented with water and yeast to product bioethanol. After fermentation has finished, all solids and water are removed by distillation resulting in pure ethanol. The solid matter left after fermenting can be used as stock food or fertiliser and the water can be recycled or used on crops for irrigation. A large percentage of bioethanol produced in Australia is made from molasses.
Bioethanol is one of most common biofuels currently available on the market, biodiesel being the other.

What is your view of the future

I was posed the question, “if you have ten houses, ten cars and have been on ten vacations around the world, what is your view of the future?”

At first, I thought of other things that I could have or do, and then I realised that the question was posed to mean that I have already done that or have that.

It’s not until you understand the full value of the question that you realise your purpose in life is not about the material things.

What would get you out of bed every day, if, in reality, you have everything you could want?

Your focus might then be turned toward helping others, or growing knowledge. I don’t believe people want to be helped. Everytime I try to help someone, I find that I have taken on the burden and in reality not helped anyone. By making my life better and looking after my family, I can make a small difference in this world.

In answer to the question posed, I think my focus would be on gaining experience, learning new things, creating and writing. It is probably why so many older adults turn to art and painting. The satisfaction of creating and finishing a project would sustain you and give you purpose.

If the stepping stone to achieving your purpose in life is the stressful activity required to accumulate wealth (Your Job), why not by-pass this step and focus on the original purpose. Set aside 1 hour every day to your purpose. 1 hour each day can turn into 2 hours and more. This would mean that you have a complete, full and eventful life full of purpose and creation without the stress.

I found that whatever I focus on gives me strength. If I focus on learning, I am able to learn. If I focus on money and debt, I get stressed and I see more debt.

I decided to focus on learning how to create pipelines of income so that I am not reliant on any one income stream. This mindset changed my life. I am focused on learning. I get up every morning looking forward to what I am going to learn today. Every day I work on creating another income stream that can be created and set into action. With each income stream working, I am gaining another opportunity to spend more time on my passion for learning.

Every morning I ask for the opportunity to learn something new that will take me one step closer to my goal. The whole time I know that the end goal is just an improved version of the life that I am living already.

I am a firm believer in “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. The book and the movie are amasing. I play the audiobook every night when I fall to sleep. The Universe does provide.

I wish you well in your future.

Industrial Electrician Keeping Pace.

I am doing some marketing for Pace Electrical Pty Ltd in Kurmond NSW. Kevin contacted me through a friend to see I was able to help with their website and marketing. I am always happy to help, so I started looking at Kevin’s business and his competition.

There is a lot of competition in the small business electrical field. It seems that every apprentice completes their 4 years of training and has an entrepreneurial seizure and decide to start their own business. Luckily there are a lot of people, businesses and industrial companies that need their expertise.

When you have so much competition, experience seems to be the point of difference. Some electricians have experience with home wiring, some with alarms and security, not all have commercial office fit out or industrial electrician experience.

What is the difference? An industrial electrician needs to be able to work in manufacturing, farming, fabrication and production-line environments. They deal with different voltage levels and Programmable logic controllers. For most electricians, this is not an experience that they can put on their resume.

Now to the online marketing process.
The competition for Pace Electrical is vast, and in the Industrial Electrician space, there are some substantial companies with large budgets. For a small business, blanket marketing won’t work. You will go broke on marketing with minimal benefit.

Small business marketing with small budgets, need to be direct. Focus your marketing directly on the customers or category of customers that will benefit the most.

The keywords regularly searched in this field are:
“electrical maintenance sydney”
“industrial electrical contractors sydney”
“industrial electrical services sydney”
“industrial electrical contractor sydney”
industrial electrical sydney

Global results on the above keywords are minimal **<100 /mth. So concentrating on these words will not bring any substantial results.
A more generic keyword such as “industrial electrician” or “commercial electrician” have substantially higher monthly searches and would increase the volume of potential clients seeing your brand.

LinkedIn is a source reference for building your profile with other business owners, while Facebook and Instagram have a direct link to consumers. I plan to directly market key local businesses within 1 hour of Pace Electrical that fit the Industrial, Commercial industry criteria. ** AHREF, Keyword Explorer

I can now call myself a published author

Hi there – I’m Julie.

And  I can now call myself a senior published author.

Who would have thought at this mature age of seniorship that this would be one of the most rewarding pursuits of my life.

So let’s backtrack a little……

If someone were to ask me “ So what do you do” – I can reply that I have had many careers.

I trained and qualified as a Television Director in South Africa and worked on numerous shows such as BBC’s Panorama, and SATV.

I performed on television and in stage shows and recorded with EMI, staying loyal for 10 years.

I studied BMus at UniSA, I received a Diploma for Secretarial services(just in case).

I worked as a Marketing Assistant in a large Multinational Food Company. I taught the guitar and play classical piano. I have been the Director of a number of businesses and learned accounting along the way.

So if I was to complete a travel document that asked for my occupation, as you can imagine, it would be pretty confused.

I know now however why I always had a love for English and reading – this in all genres and have been a prolific reader from a very young age. This was just preparation for where I am standing now and that is PUBLISHED AUTHOR.

There is nothing easy about being an author and the reality of becoming an author is not glamourous and is full of challenges.

It all begins with the DREAM. And, I believe that this applies to everything that people would like to achieve.

It is finding the WHY.

Why would I want to write a book  – this required deep soul searching .

So many people glibly make remarks about what they want to do but never follow through.

I wanted to help people of my age and change their perspective on getting older – realising that we are all on the same team and by embracing each other we will feel like HOME.

Anyone that wants to achieve in any field needs to be prepared to begin the marathon, understand the journey ahead and know that there will be successes and discouragement along the way-always focusing ahead at the end goal.

What does it take to write a book

  1. THE DECISION
  2. Permission to believe in yourself.
  3. Goals and deadlines
  4. Writing first drafts and refining
  5. Developing a writing habit
  6. Finding wonderful editors
  7. Proofreading
  8. Formatting correctly for different distribution channels
  9. Finding cheerleaders to let others know how you are going
  10. Attract success
  11. PRESS PUBLISH
  12. HAVE FUN

What have I learned in this complete change of career.

  • You need to be certain of your WHY as this will carry you through when there are bumps in the road.
  • You need to believe that you really can do this.
  • You need to commit to the small goals that will help you reach your main goal
  • You need to shake off any self -limiting mindset or negative energy from those around you.
  • You need to connect with communities who are in the trenches with you or have come out the other side with the results that they envisaged.
  • You need to have the courage to continue when it looks like all is imploding.

I have learned that you can do anything if you are brave and organised.

It just takes TOTAL COMMITMENT
